Monarch is an independent digital magazine exploring contemporary culture, fashion, and art. We were responsible for a full visual refresh and the creation of an experimental, bold editorial digital experience that matches the magazine’s progressive voice.

Chalenge
The magazine wanted to break away from traditional glossy aesthetics and move toward a younger, bolder, and more provocative visual language without losing its premium feel. The digital version needed to be immersive and stand out in a crowded editorial space.
Solution
We introduced a custom display typeface “Monarch Display”, an acid-pink and deep-black color system, and experimental layouts with large-scale photography. The website features cinematic horizontal scrolling, smooth transitions, and interactive “Living Pages” that react to mouse movement and scroll, creating a dynamic reading experience.
Conclusion
After the launch, subscriber growth increased by more than 240% within the first two months. The new editorial portfolio quickly became one of the most discussed projects in the design community and received Awwwards Site of the Day.
